SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it really is alarmed with regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to status sassa a large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The company stage established for intervention activities a large influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to allow the servicing of all clients and enhance access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
